It has been raining cats and dogs today . There was nothing else i could think about in a cold weather like this apart from this easy – peasy creamy hot goodness. Imagin that i gave it an exotic touch.
I last cooked pumpkin soup 4 months ago during winter. After sipping this delicious creamy goodness, it warmed me up immidiately. I prefer it hot and peperish. I added some very hot pepper in my own portion since the kids doesn’t eat pepper. Thats just the exotic touch . Thats exactly what l am talking about.
The French love this creamy butter soup . They eat it with crunchy croutons. That’s the way l learned how to serve soup in the 5th republic during the era of Francois Holland and Nicolas Sakorzy in power in the Franch Republic. Isn’t this recipe as simple as “Bonjour” !!
- 1 small size pumpkin
- 3 small carrots
- 3 large potatoes
- 1 Celery sticks
- 2 small onions
- 1 leek
- Pinch of salt
- Black Pepper
- 2/3 cup Cheese
- 1 cup full cream milk .
- 2 tspn Tumeric powder
I would have graced my soup with another exotic touch by using sweet potatoes but i couldnt find one today in my kitchen . I roasted the last sweet potato on my birthday when i was making some delicious BBQ.
Note that we have many variations of this classy delicious food.
I peel and prepare all my vegetables by washing them properly. I cook the pupkin in broth with the onion celery carrots , potatoes, and leek. I crush them with my hand soup mixer. Then marinate with the above spices. Like i said before we have many recipes out there for pumpkin soup . And this just my own signature.
